Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I offer both face-to-face as well as online counselling sessions. My partnership with LifeWell allows me the privilege to offer in-person sessions at the LifeWell Broadview clinic or the LifeWell Elizabeth clinic. I also offer online counselling services allowing women to engage in counselling from the comfort of their own home or from a location convenient for them.

What is your availability?

I am available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for evening sessions (online/ telehealth appointments only). I am also available on Fridays and Saturdays for daytime sessions (both online and face-to-face). This flexibility allows me to accommodate people who have different work/life schedules including shift workers. For those who require face-to-face counselling, please note, these can only be offered on Fridays and Saturdays. There is no extra cost to the clients associated with bookings on Saturdays.

How do I know you are the right counsellor for me?

Every counsellor has their own approach, and you are encouraged to find a counsellor whom you are comfortable with, someone who gets you. I offer a 15-minute free, no obligation consultation for you to get to know me or for you to ask any questions. This can be done online or just over the phone, and you can use this as a “vibe check” to see if I am what you are looking for in a counsellor.

How can I book a session?

You can book your session online by clicking on the “Book an Appointment” tab on this website. Please note, payment is required UPFRONT for all bookings, except for EAP clients and NDIS clients of which the bill may be sent to their employer or service provider respectively. Cancellations or change of mind will be refunded immediately, as long as more than 24-hour notice is given.

How does the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) work?

We offer EAP services for female employees in different companies and service providers. Depending on the arrangement with the companies in Adelaide, we are able to come onsite and give face-to-face counselling sessions to the employees. Otherwise, we still offer online EAP sessions for your convenience. Option for online EAP or onsite EAP can be made at the time of booking.

How do NDIS bookings work?

NDIS clients have an added choice of mobile appointments. Depending on their capabilities or what is comfortable for them, they can choose to have their appointment online. Or, if their circumstances do not allow, we can come to the client's place of residence for their session.  Option for online or mobile session can be made at the time of booking.

How many counselling sessions should I attend?

Counselling is different for each and every individual. While some may benefit from short term counselling, others may need long term sessions for them to experience meaningful improvements, especially when implementing therapy techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). For a start, it is generally recommended to attend between 3-6 sessions for minor or acute issues with the prospect of more sessions to necessitate long term change.

Do you offer discounts for booking multiple sessions or packages bookings?

Yes. Please click on the “Book An Appointment” tab on this website and there you can click “Explore Plans” to see what package deals we have available.

Is counselling confidential?

Counselling is confidential. I am guided by the ACA Code of Ethics with whom I am registered. As such, I take confidentiality seriously. Apart from legal obligations (which will be explained to you in your first session), rest assured, when you come to see me, you are coming into a space where you are safe and positively regarded as an individual no matter what journey you have been on.
